JOINING THE TEAM
WHAT DO I NEED TO JOIN?
We have spots on our roster for all levels of riders, from those who have never ridden a horse to grand prix competitors. Riders must have a valid passport and proper equipment including an ASTM/SEI certified helmet, tall boots (half chaps are fine for lessons), beige breeches, show shirt and show jacket . Team mates lend each other equipment at shows when possible but is not guaranteed. Other than that, a positive attitude and great sportsmanship are a must!

RIDER COMMITMENT
Riders selected for the team must be able to commit 4 hours per week. We have a weekly workout and weekly lesson scheduled around the team's class schedules. Competitions take place over 4 weekends in New York, 3 in the fall semester starting late October and 1 in the winter semester. Riders must be able to attend most of these competitions and arrangements will be made in the case of an academic conflict. Lessons run for 8 weeks each semester starting at the end of September in the fall semester and mid-January in the winter semester, ending before exams. Riders are encouraged, but not required to find extra opportunities for riding outside of the team

WHAT SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE VIDEO?
Videos should be around no longer than 5 minutes in length and include clips flatting at all gaits (walk, sitting and rising trot, full seat and half seat canter) and jumping at the height the rider most often competes/rides at (if applicable). If possible, riders should include clips of them on as many horses as possible as versatility is important in our catch riding style of competition.
